When Congressman Derek Kilmer was in the State Legislature he was instrumental in the passing of Washington State’s Prize-Linked Savings Program. It offers added incentive for people to save regularly and reap the benefits of conserving their resources while building for their future. Monthly drawings are held for such accounts that participate and cash prizes are drawn just for having a savings account!
 
On March 31^st, 2014 from 8:00am to 9:00am Congressman Kilmer will be at the Belfair Branch of Peninsula Credit Union to help their “Save to Win” along with sharing a Continental Breakfast featuring Starbucks coffee and pastries courtesy of Costco.
 
They will be asking community leaders to bring their spare change and/or checkbooks to help support North Mason Resources as they work to continue assisting North Mason county residents with their financial needs. Change jars will be on hand as a visual reminder that even small efforts can add up to overwhelming results when we work together for change.
