Traveler 5.5k Run/Walk

Description

The Traveler 5.5K Run/Walk celebrates the return of spring in Union, WA. “The Traveler,” a rock formation on the face of Mt. Washington in the Olympic Mountain range is visible only for a few months every year and only from the Union, WA. view of the mountain in spring. The race is a 3.4 mile race with some rolling hills along the private residential streets of the Alderbrook Golf Club.

Hood Canal Events is excited to feature t-shirt artwork designed by Kirk Endicott and a portion of this years event proceeds will be donated to the Long Live the Kings, a non-profit hatchery on Hood Canal committed to restoring wild salmon and steelhead in the Pacific Northwest. The race will be held at the Alderbrook Golf Club’s outdoor space "The Pointe," with a spectacular sweeping view of the Olympics and The Traveler. Join us for the post race viewing party after the race and enjoy your complimentary post race beer and awards ceremony!

ALL EVENT CUPS ARE VEGWARE - made from 100% plant based and recycled materials that include no plastic and are commercially compostable.

Event t-shirts will be designed by local legend Kirk Endicott's K-Dog Clothing and are available for registered participants for an additional $15.

Early packet pick-up will be available on Friday April 26, 2019 between 5pm - 7pm at the Alderbrook Golf Club restaurant - E 330 Country Club Dr E, Union, WA. 98592. Beat the rush, grab race details and a bite and beverage while socializing with other participants. If you are unable to attend the early packet pick-up, packet pick-up will be available on race day Saturday, April 27 between 8:30am - 9:30am.
