America's Best Idea — the national parks — is even better when it is free! Only 127 of the United States’ 407 national parks usually charge an entrance fee. For National Public Lands Day, the fee is waived at your favorite national park, including the one nearest to the Hood Canal: Olympic National Park. Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
