“HEALING ART OF COLLAGE” - MAY TOPIC FOR CANCER WELLNESS WORKSHOP
SHELTON, Wash. – Cancer patients and caregivers are invited to find healing through creativity by attending a Cancer Wellness Workshop. Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics and Harmony Hill Retreat Center partner in a year-long Cancer Wellness Program that features a series of monthly workshops to provide coping strategies and positive attitudes for healing that lead to positive change. The next workshop’s topic will be The Healing Art of Collage - use the playful process of collage-making to give visual expression to the healing wisdom within them. This event will take place on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the Pershing Meeting Room at Mason General Hospital.
The Cancer Wellness Program, hosted by MGH&FC and facilitated by Harmony Hill faculty member Melissa Layer, presents a variety of topics and speakers to help build confidence, emotional strength and coping strategies to help individuals feel a sense of control in their lives.
The workshops run every second Wednesday of the month until August 2017, and are free and open to anyone with a cancer diagnosis, those in survivorship, their companions and caregivers. As space is limited, early registration is recommended by calling
