“HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY DIABETES MEDS?” – JUNE TOPIC AT ALLYN DIABETES SUPPORT GROUP MEETING
SHELTON, Wash. – Diabetes prescriptions are vital to keeping the condition well-managed and free of complications, but the expense of these medications can be overwhelming. Discover how to navigate the insurance options to help cover the high costs of diabetes medications at Mason General Hospital & Family of Clinics’ next Allyn Diabetes Support Group meeting entitled “How Can I Pay for My Diabetes Medications?” on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Port of Allyn building’s meeting room.
Guest speaker Annette Brown, Mason County Coordinator for the Prescription Drug Assistance Network, will cover insurance formularies, Medicare gap, Social Security Administration's Extra Help, manufacturer’s programs, and Walmart’s Relion product line. Family members, friends and significant others are also invited to attend in support of their loved ones managing diabetes.
The Allyn Diabetes Support Group, affiliated with the American Diabetes Association, meets every fourth Thursday of the month from September to June.
