Is Your Business World Cup Ready? |
|
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to host six matches in Seattle, with an expected economic impact of $929 million and approximately 750,000 visitors coming to the Puget Sound area. Many visitors are likely to stay between seven and eleven days, exploring destinations well beyond the match sites and traveling up to 150 miles from the stadiums. This presents a valuable opportunity for Mason County to attract additional tourism and highlight regional attractions such as Olympic National Park and Hood Canal.
With matches in Seattle and Vancouver, BC running from June 15 through July 7, now is the time for businesses to strengthen their visibility on social media and Google to ensure they appear in search results as visitors begin planning their trips. Early preparation will be key to capturing attention and local spending. Mason County Businesses are well positioned to benefit by promoting outdoor spaces, seasonal offerings, and themed menu items that tap into the excitement of this global event.
