Purchase your shellfish and seaweed license at Belfair Licensing in Belfair. Open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Description
Brinnon ShrimpFest is a Memorial Weekend festival located on Hood Canal in Brinnon. This event is a celebration of Hood Canal Spot Shrimp and other local seafood. It features belt sander races, arts and crafts booths, live music, carnival rides, delicious food, great fun and shrimp! (limited quantities of Hood Canal Shrimp for sale). Bring along your favorite decorated belt sander to enter the races, usually held on Sunday. The tides area usually low enough during this weekend for easy harvest of clams and oysters on the public beaches near the festival (license required).
