DESCRIPTION:Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group\n\nAccessible Garden\n\nThursday\, June 20\, 2019\n\nRibbon Cutting Celebration\n\n  (12-1pm\, ribbon cut promptly at 12:30)\n\n***AND*** \n\n"POP IN" for Seeds\n\n(1-3pm)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTwo fun events on the same day!  A ribbon cutting followed by a "POP IN" for seeds!\n\n\n\nThe Salmon Center invites you to join in the grand opening celebration for their new "Accessible Garden" project.  This ribbon cutting represents the opening of these gardens and welcomes the community to come out to the Salmon Center to enjoy them.\n\n\n\nThe Accessible Garden is a project funded by a grant acquired by last year's AmeriCorps members from the Whole Kids Foundation.  The initial idea was conceived by past AmeriCorps member Jo Beyer. The beds were designed by this year's AmeriCorps members\, Emma Welty and Heather Hamilton.\n\nWhat's growing now?  radishes\, herbs\, delicata squash\, zucchini\, a braising mix (kale\, chard\, bok choi) and edible flowers in the new beds. \n\n\n\nWhat's happening after the ribbon cutting??? a "POP IN" of course!  Produce will be available to pick and free sunflower seeds for visitors!  Stop in anytime between 1-3pm - POP IN and OUT!\n\n\n\n     \n\n\n\nSee you there!\n\nRSVPS not required
