He is responsible for Patrol\, Special Units\, including Special Operations Group\, SWAT\, School Resource Officers\, K9\, Traffic\, Marine Operations and Search and Rescue. Chief Spurling is a PIO as well.  Chief Spurling is a long term Mason County resident and is very involved in our community through volunteering as a coach\, teaching Martial Arts\, serving in community groups and church service.
