The North Mason Chamber of Commerce invites the public to attend a Ribbon Cutting Event in celebration of the completion of the SR 3 road widening project in Belfair. Together with representatives from the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)\, the Chamber will mark this milestone on Thursday\, August 17\, at 10am in the Kitsap Bank\, Belfair\, parking lot. The event will feature remarks by WA State Senator Tim Sheldon\, Mason County Commissioner Randy Neatherlin\, U.S. Representative Derek Kilmer\, and John Wynands\, Olympic Region Administrator\, WSDOT.\n\n\n\nCeccanti\, Inc. began construction on the project in July of 2015\, with a projected completion date of Fall\, 2017. With the objective of relieving congestion and improving safety for the traveling public and pedestrians\, key new features now include a full length\, two-way left-turn lane\, wider shoulders\, and new sidewalks.\n\n"We are already receiving accolades from both our local citizens and tourists\," said Stephanie Rowland\, President & CEO of the North Mason Chamber of Commerce.
